What you will need:
- 1.5 Tbsp Master Blend
- 1.25 Tbsp Three Tears Pepper Spice
- 1 medium Spanish onion, cut into onion strips
- 2.5 Tbsp Olive oil
- 1.25 Tbsp Fresh crushed garlic.
- .5 Cup Grape Tomato Slices
- 1.5 Cup Skinless – Seedless Roma Tomatoes
- 1lbs Sliced Tube and Tentacles Calamari
- .25 Flat Leaf Italian Parsley
- 1 zested lemon, with juice squeezed afterwards
Preparation - Sauce:
Set stove temp to medium high. Heat a sauté pan or skillet. Add 1 Tbsp of olive oil and the onion strips. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the Fresh crushed garlic & cook for 2 minutes then add the grape and Roma tomatoes including the liquid from the tomatoes. Turn heat down to medium then add 1 Tbsp Master Blend All Purpose Spice and 1 Tbsp of Three Tears Pepper Spice. Cook for 5 more minutes then remove from heat. Add the lemon juice, the lemon zest & the parsley. Stir & put to the side.
Preparation - Calamari:
On Medium high heat, add remaining 1.5 Tbsp of Olive oil in the sauté pan or skillet. Then add the Calamari and the remaining Master Blend and Three Tears. Cook for 4 minutes then add the sauce to the calamari. Cook for 3 minutes. Then turn off heat & enjoy. Can be served as an appetizer or an Entrée. Pairs well with Pasta & Garlic Bread or Garlic Toast.
